Hey, I'm Sean 👋

Full-Stack Typescript, Next.js and React-Native Specialist

Currently obssessed with how "normal" businesses can use AI and tech to grow. Quickly. Plus save a shed load of time.

ELI5: I make pretty things appear on screens and I make data behave

I'm good with code. I develop quickly, test thoroughly and document.

But I'm better with people. I understand what people are asking for and help everyone get to the best solution.

Some of my work

Functional Fitness Game

Website

An app for gyms, personal trainers and fitness enthusiasts to create fitness challenges.

I ran all of this from design, development to deployment.

API handled with Next.js, trpc, DrizzleORM and Supabase for auth and hosting the DB.

The primary app is Expo, all in a lovely monorepo that allows a lot of code sharing.

Squeezy App

Website

#1 Health app in the UK app store. Helps people with their pelvic floor.

Was brought into lead recreating their existing app into React-Native.

Worked really with the team and was also often used to help assist with their other app for clinicians and patients.

Quite a bit of my professional work has been through agencies so I can't link to it but some samples include:

  • Led Next.js development on a high end luxury car auction site
  • Senior Next.js development on Fintech backed by the biggest asset management company
  • Led development of a GraphQL API and React app for a major European energy provider
  • Built a map component for a multinational ride sharing company

More details (and more likely up to date ones) can be found on my LinkedIn

A bit more about me

I'm a wee 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 that's sneaked south of the wall and settled in London.

In a past life I worked on oil rigs in the North Sea. A fairly boring job in the NE of Scotland but people always seem to find it interesting.

I'm also qualified as a nutritionist and personal trainer, so pretty into the whole keeping fit thing.
